Greetings and welcome to Bethany Lutheran Church!
If you are planning on visiting the church, here is a message from the Pastors with some information you may find helpful before coming.
On this page, we'll try to answer the question: "How can I get more involved at the church?" We'll do that by first asking you where you are on your spiritual journey.
For those who want to know the basics of what we believe, teach, and confess at Bethany, we offer an information class called “BIBLE 101”. You can schedule a time to take this class with one of our Pastors or lay leaders, or you can watch a video right here. Once you have taken the online class, you’ll be asked to complete a short questionnaire, after which, if you’d like, you can e-mail the Pastor to schedule a follow-up talk.
As you explore this Website and find some things in which you would like to be involved, like music, small groups, or helping people in need, that’s great! Most of our activities are here to help you grow in your faith and grow in your service to others.
We invite you to be a willing worker and help with any of the activities we have at Bethany, as well as any of our Sunday School classes and small groups.
Lutherans share manycharacteristics with our fellow Christians, but you may have some questions about things you see and hear in worship. We’ll be happy to hear about what you were used to in your former church and see if we can make some connections to what we do here. If so, you want to spend some time taking our “LUTHERAN 101” information class. This is another class you can take online or schedule it with the Pastor. If you complete the online class, you can schedule a follow-up session with Pastor if you have any questions or want to take the next step into membership.
Membership at Bethany means that you are eligible to vote at our church meetings and take a leadership position. If you are interested in membership, we recommend scheduling a time to take the BETHANY 101 information class, either in person or online. If you take the online class, there will be a survey to complete at the end to send to the Pastor along with any other questions you have. We’ll schedule a follow-up interview and a time to formally welcome you in one of our worship services.
You may contact Pastor Jagow for more information - pastor@bethany-lcms.org.
Whether you are planning on visiting for the first time, or you are thinking about membership, we are happy to have you as a guest with us in worship and anywhere else you would like to connect. We pray God blesses you during your time with us.
