The number one is more complex than it looks. It can be “the loneliest number” as the Harry Nilsson song says. It can also signify what is most important in our lives or who is the best like when you see the foam finger number one at a sports event. The Apostle Paul sees it as a collective number, gathering in many different people from many different backgrounds into one people with one mind and one voice. What makes this a reality? The power of the Gospel showing us our salvation is in Christ alone AND knowing that in Christ, we are never alone!
