Sermon: “Together in Baptism”
Romans 6:4 - We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
This Sunday, we'll be looking at the Small Catechism we use to instruct families in the faith. In particular, we'll discuss just how people become part of the family by way of baptism. It seems a good starting point to begin another spiritual growth series that INVITES people to serve the Lord in and around Bethany. Life together begins with water and The Word and continues when we remember our Baptism every day.
The story of Christmas was told long before the shepherds of Bethlehem were watching their flocks by night. Centuries earlier, God reveals the plan for our salvation at times of extraordinary change and challenge for His people. The message God sends through His prophets gives us ways to meet the challenges of our day while keeping the hope and joy of Christmas alive in our hearts.
Join us at Bethany Lutheran Church beginning Sunday, December 2 and continuing through Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Epiphany Sunday (January 6) as we celebrate how God spoke to His people of old by the prophets, and how He now speaks to us by the Son those prophets foretold (Hebrews 1:1-2).
