The Forever Kingdom

Kingdoms of the earth come and go. Even the kingdom that God established through a king who was after God’s own heart eventually fades. But when we follow the motif of the kingdom through the Old Testament until a certain child is born in Bethlehem, we see that God did fashion one kingdom to last forever. What does this eternal kingdom mean for our Christmas here and now?
