Sermon: "Witness Together" - 1 Corinthians 15:1-20 We get to the end of 1 Corinthians, today, and wind up Paul's masterful teaching to the church in Corinth with some Easter joy breaking into the Epiphany season! Here Paul writes, "...what I received I passed on to you as of first importance...."! What is of "first importance" is the testimony of Christ's resurrection that lives in our community and must keep on living by being passed down and shared until the day when Jesus comes again. For the second series in a special campaign to INVITE! people in and around Bethany to work together in ministry, we'll look at 1 Corinthians 12-15. Paul wrote to the Corinthian church at a time when there was a lot of conflict in that community. His words help us understand the way we were called, gathered and inspired by the Holy Spirit for a purpose in God's Kingdom. During this series, the sermons and Sunday School lessons will match each other so we learn each Sunday as a family.
